Ingredients

  • 1 part sugar
  • 1 part water
  • 1 part stacked fresh basil
  • 1 part lemon juice

Preparation

  • Bring water to a boil with basil and sugar, simmer for >6 minutes and filter to make simple syrup.
  • Let syrup cool off and add lemon juice (should be about equal proportions).
  • Keeps in fridge for at least a week.

Serving

  • Mix 2 parts lemonade with 1 part cold (carbonated) water, serve over ice.
